Sun Odyssey 32, description of the sailing yacht.

Designed by Philippe Briand and the Jeanneau design team, the Sun Odyssey 32 has graceful lines, large cockpit, and a generous sail plan make sailing truly delightful. The cockpit is specially designed to support the most efficient crew position, even when heeled. A wide cockpit offers plenty of room for relaxation and fun (large cockpit table). At anchor, take a morning swim from the transom, and climb back easily on board using the built-in swim ladder.

Built with a rich comfortable interior with plenty of room to move around, the Sun Odyssey 32 gives the impression of a size never seen before on a 32 footer. There is room everywhere thanks to its original two cabin layout. In the large U-shaped galley, admire a true countertop with an immense refrigerator. You will also be well pleased with the standing headroom, the ventilation, the drawers and the lockers. Afterwards, you can comfortably relax in the salon, well-lit well-ventilated, and spacious enough for 6 persons. At sea, seat yourself confidently at the nave station to spread out your charts. Move forward into the superb independent fore cabin that has an extra large berth and numerous storage compartments including a large locker. Examine the large washroom, with its easy-maintenance moulded fibreglass interior, both fully equipped and exceptionally spacious. Finally enter the large aft cabin and stretch out comfortably. You won't believe the light, the space, the comfort that you will find there.

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 32 is one of several boats whose decks are built using closed-molded resin-tranfer technology. Requiring an expensive investment in steel male- and female tooling, the technology works like this: glass fiber is placed between the molds, the edges around the molds are sealed, and resin is then pumped through the laminate. The result is a fiberglass part finished on both sides with gelcoat. The judges were most impressed with her performance. "Perfect balance," said BOTY judge Ralph Naranjo of the steering. Pushed along at 6.7 knots by an 18-horsepower Yanmar, she was a quiet boat under power, with 81-decibel noise readings in the saloon.
